I have been with the GMB member for 30 years, I started out with Group 4 Security based on the sites at Rolls-Royce in Derby were I was a union rep covering sites Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. In 2000 I join Rolls-Royce as an employee based at the Submarines site at Raynesway, I continued as a union rep for the Security Dept. I am also a Safety rep this has been my main interest whilst I have been working for Rolls-Royce, this is were I have had most of my training. But now that I have been intrusted in this new role I updating and refreshing my training as a union rep.

When i left school i joined the Merchant Navy as a enineer, when i left the Merchant Navy i started work at International combustion as a Fabricator/plater. I carried on my career with DSF and HPV, before moving onto Rolls-Royce Submarines at Raynesway. I have been a GMB representative for 15 years and now hold the post of Senior Negotiator for PCO Submarines, I hold a sit on the National Advisory Committee (NAC) and the Nuclear Sector Negottiating Committee (NSNC). I also hold a sit on the RR UK Council, I take up a position on the Excutive Committee in June 2015.
